A CareLink Success Story is Thriving in Honduras - During Very Challenging Times

Food Delivery - Honduran Style!

Many of us have become acquainted with the concept of having a fresh meal delivered from our favorite restaurant during the current COVID-19 Pandemic. In the true spirit of entrepreneurial creativity, one of our CareLink micro-funded businesses, The Proverbs 4:23 Restaurant in Tatumbla, Honduras, is using this concept to keep its business operational during the Honduras lock-down order. “Yolani” pictured with CareLink President, Jeffrey Hartman, runs a food take-out business, receiving WhatsApp food orders on a mobile phone from her home near Tegucigalpa. Then, her husband delivers the meals to customers on his scooter!

CareLink funded Yolani’s business in 2018 with a $1,000 micro loan…and she has been thriving ever since, preparing delicious meals for delivery, employing two women to help her, and paying back her micro-loan faithfully. The profit from her restaurant enables her to improve the nutrition of her family's meals, send her children to school, and save for her future. Yolani is a hard-working woman, and her success is inspiring.

Microfinance is an empowering and transformative force, helping families become self-sufficient and successful. Thank you for helping CareLink reduce suffering and provide opportunities for families in Honduras!
