The CareLink Foundation would like to thank The DuPage Community Foundation for its generous grant for our medical interpreter program. This program provides Spanish speaking medical interpreters for children requiring specialty care whose parents do not speak English as their primary language.
The program helps to bridge the gap in health disparities by breaking through the language barrier DuPage County families otherwise would encounter. For many children, this is the first time they are able to see a specialist and for their parents, the first time they are able to make informed decisions on their child’s medical condition.
